Strategic acquisition

Sweden: The investment company Nordstjernan's subsidiary Rosti Group AB has acquired the North American company Plastic Components and thereby strengthens its market position in US.

Beyond the plastics industry

Sweden: Labotek Nordic aims to gain market share outside the classic plastics industry within a few years with its conveyor belt solutions. The markets are, for example, the packaging and construction industry

CEO leaves Elos Medtech

Sweden: Jan Wahlström, President and CEO of Elos Medtech AB for just over five years, has decided to leave the company.

More graphene on the shelf

Sweden: Graphmatech AB develops graphene-reinforced polymers. The company has two graphene composites for the polymer segment and one for metals, but more products are said to be in the pipeline

Beyond Sweden

Sweden: A 5-axis multi-operation machine arrive to the mold manufacturer Forsheda Stålverktyg AB this spring. An investment which will comes in handy since the company has expanded its customer base beyond Sweden.

Change of CEO

Sweden: In November 2021, Arla Plast carried out a change of CEO. Christian Krichau was then appointed President and CEO when Henrik Håkansson left his assignment in the company.

Patented solution

Sweden: Biofiber Tech Sweden AB has patented a chemical solution with which it is possible to make wood fibers more hydrophobic. The ambition is to produce between 10 and 30,000 tonnes of pellets for plastic compounders by 2023.

Ready to move in

Norway: The research institute Norner's technology center Polymer Exploration Center has been finalized. With 4,600 square meters, Norner addresses the international plastics industry with research services to the entire value chain.

Andrénplast closes down

Sweden: The owner will not renew the company´s lease agreement when it expires at the turn of the year. The production of vacuum-formed components is instead moved to sister companies in Sweden and Poland.

Plasmatreat chose Gothenburg

Sweden: The manufacturer of atmospheric plasma technologies, Plasmatreat GmbH, has established a subsidiary, Plastmatreat Nordic AB, in Gothenburg.

Green & Co broadens its range

Sweden: From January 2022, Green & Co is the distributor for Geiss AG and Mitras Materials GmbH in Sweden and Norway.

No. 26 at site

Sweden: Emballator Mellerud has invested in a large blow molding machine. One of the largest in Scandinavia, the company states. The machine arrived at the factory in early January and will be number 26 at the plant.
