New GID at Medicon Valley
Denmark: Phillips Medisize will open a new Global Innovation and Development Center (GID) in Copenhagen, Denmark for advanced injectors, portable devices and connected technologies.
Two British units become one
Sweden: During 2020, Nolato's Medical Solutions business area will concentrate its operations within the British business unit Nolato Jaycare to Newcastle. The plant in Portsmouth will be shut down by December 2020.
Implement vigorous expansion
Sweden: Rosti Group AB is expanding its factory in Romania with 10,000 square meters. The factory is designed for injection molding on a lego basis and will be ready in August later this year.
Strategic 3dp-acquisition
Sweden: Prototal Industries has acquired the Danish 3dp specialist Damvig A/S. In total within the Group there are now almost 43 pieces of 3d printers. The goal is further grow towards the Central European market.
Extended cooperation
Sweden: Elos Medtech has signed a global distribution agreement with Nobel Biocare for a selection of products, thus expanding cooperation in the growing digital dental care market.
Applies for corporate restructuring
Sweden: On December 16, the oil company Nynas AB applied for company restructuring at Södertörns District Court. The company was founded in 1928. It employs 1,000 people, about half of whom are in Sweden.
Baxter in agreement with Medow
Sweden: The Swedish start-up company Medow has signed an agreement with Baxter. Through the agreement, the medical technology company incorporates Medow's product IV bracelet into its product catalog for distribution.
Controllable plasmon polymer
Sweden: Scientists at Linköping University have developed optical nano-antennas in a leading polymer. Plasmonia occurs when light interacts with metallic nanoparticles.
Partnering about core materials
Sweden: Diab Group has signed a partnership agreement with Indian Skaps Industries regarding the production of PET core material.
Builds R&D center of 5000 sqm
Sweden: Car accessories manufacturer Thule Group is expanding its operations in Hillerstorp by 5000 sqm, an investment of SEK 100 million, which is expected to be completed in the spring of 2021.
Trioplast makes Dutch acquisition
Sweden: Trioplast Group has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Dutch Apeldoorn Flexible Packaging, AFP, a unit within B.C. Jindal Group.
Huge interest in Danish innovation
Denmark: Several years of machine development and entrepreneurship have resulted in a new type of plastic sorting machine for industrial waste. Behind the development are two mechanical engineers from the Technical University of Denmark, DTU.
